| Community Corrections Outsanding Service Award |
|
The Community Corrections Outstanding Service Award is presented to the community corrections employee, contractor, elected official, citizen or team of such indiviudals who displayed an uncommon commitment to the profession of community corrections, or who performed responsibilities in a manner above and beyond normal duties that greatly assisted or enhanced community corrections.
This year we are proud to honor Karen Caskey with the Welcome Home Oregon program as the 2009 Community Corrections Outstanding Service Award.

Outstanding Citizen Award

Outstanding Service Awards are given to any employee or team of employees who display an uncommon commitment to the profession and/or the community. | Humanitarian Award |
|
The humanitarian award is presented to any employee who distinguished him or herself by directly performing an action that displayed exceptional bravery and/or heroism during a rescue effort, natural disaster or other life-threatening or catastrophic event. The employee participated on his/her own time and did not receive monetary compensation. This award can also be presented to an employee who provided outstanding volunteer service to his/her community.

The Correctional Officer of the Year exemplifies professionalism, serves as an excellent role model to other staff and inmates, and is a credit to the entire field of public safety.
This year out of nearly 2,400 correctional officers within the Department, we are pleased to announce that Officer Daniel Bain from Snake River Correctional Institution as the 2009 Correctional Officer of the Year.

The recipient of the Amos Reed Award is selected by the director and presented to an employee within the Department of Corrections who has served exceptionally well in his or her regular work assignment, and has displayed outstanding leadership qualities in areas of mentorship, team building, and personal and professional integrity.
This year, Director Max Williams and Deputy Director Mitch Morrow are proud to present the award to someone whose nomination details his leadership qualities, including creativity and resourcefulness, possessing self-discipline and credibility, and expertise in correctional programs and fiscal management.
It is our honor to present the 2009 Amos Reed Award to OSP Superintendent Brian Belleque.
